Mite Project Process

All about collaboration

Mite’s project process is all about collaboration. Our program staff coordinate with partner organizations in developing vital, mission-centric projects. Then our communications and donor care teams engage the fantastic Mite Donor Community to fund the outreach. Through this collaborative process, thousands of lives are beneficially impacted throughout the world. Each step of the process involves a partnership between Mite donors and outreach personnel in the field who put the donor contributions to work. The result is clearly productive charity.

Key benefits

Collaborative charity provides several key benefits:

  1. Mite donors understand what they are giving to and the intended result of their giving. There is no grey area or fogginess in the outreach process. The end result is documented. The impact is greater than any one of the collaborators could have accomplished alone.
  2. Mite’s outreach partners work within their mission, continuing to serve those in need. The generous gifts from the donor help expand the partners’ influence - no fundraising circuit required. The boots on the ground continue to work on their God-given mission.
  3. Mite continue to expand its outreach to new donors, giving more people the opportunity to join in a truly impactful charity.
  4. Through our project process, all involved focus on what they do best. A Mite partner stated, "We so appreciate Mite's approach of not taking over, but rather coming alongside and determining how they can best support us and the project." Some give, some do the work, and others document and report the result of that work. Removing any part of the network would diminish the overall impact.
  5. The Mite project process relies on the knowledge and skills of people on the ground, those actively involved in the mission within the country where the outreach is happening. Mite staff clearly admit to not knowing what is best for the recipient. But our partner organizations do! By working day in and day out in the communities where they minister, Mite’s outreach partners know the best and most necessary work to be done. Their long-term presence in the communities where they work ensures the sustainability of our projects. It also significantly increases the likelihood of a successful outreach supported by the Mite community.

Conclusion

We are so thankful for our giving community, who encourage us daily through their generosity. We are also tremendously grateful and humbled to work with the best nonprofit organizations around the world. It is an amazing experience to work hand in hand with ministries and givers that make such a valuable contribution to people's lives. And we are grateful to God who brings us together to Do Good Globally!
