Working with Sole Hope, we focused on jigger parasite removal from people's feet, shoe supplies and infection prevention training. We also provided materials and equipment for a shoe-making workshop so they can supply Jinja communities with protective footwear to combat this crippling disease.
We are teamed up with Sole Hope to help thousands of people in Uganda, Africa with much-needed relief from jiggers and the harmful effects they cause. They work to restore people’s lives by removing jiggers and ensuring once-infested people remain jigger-free. They conduct clinics throughout rural villages in Uganda, removing thousands of jiggers in a single day.
Beyond direct care and treatment, Sole Hope has developed shoe making facilities using recycled materials to construct shoes and distribute them for free ensuring that once-infested people will remain jigger-free. Your Mite will equip a shoe factory in Uganda that will produce shoes for years.
