Project 74: Reaching the Unreached - West Africa
In West Africa, indigenous believers are leading mission work so the unreached can know the truth of Jesus Christ. Join us in supporting these workers and raising up more church planters through expanded Bible training, equipping them to return home ready to disciple others and reach the unreached.Read more
Project 74: Reaching the Unreached - West Africa
Across West Africa, many believers live in small, isolated villages with little to no access to formal biblical training. Most survive through subsistence farming, far from reliable educational resources — and some without even the schooling needed to read.
Yet they are faithfully discipling neighbors, leading churches, and carrying the message of Christ into the unreached tribes in Liberia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Ivory Coast.
Our partner, Wordsower Africa, sees extraordinary potential in these indigenous believers. Through the Wordsower Bible Institute, they provide free, in-depth biblical training to men and women of all educational levels. Each session lasts one or two weeks and is hosted at Wordsower bases across the region, guiding students through five progressive levels — from foundational doctrine to discipleship, church leadership, and missions.
Students travel from distant villages to spend these intensive weeks learning, worshiping, and growing together before returning home equipped to preach the Gospel and strengthen their communities.
Each year, Wordsower conducts 32 weeks of training across eight bases, equipping thousands of believers. Through Project 74: Reaching the Unreached, Mite’s Giving Community will help increase that capacity from 32 weeks to 48 weeks in 2026.
Every additional week creates space for dozens more pastors, church planters, and emerging leaders to be grounded in sound doctrine and practical ministry. Graduates go on to plant churches, mentor new believers, and continue the cycle of discipleship in villages that have little outside support.
This project will also fund essential printing equipment and supplies. Wordsower’s printed discipleship materials are foundational to every training and outreach effort. Strengthening their in-house printing ensures timely, affordable production of the tools that fuel both the Bible Institute and village-to-village evangelism.
Together, we can help Wordsower raise up indigenous leaders, strengthen churches, and send well-equipped believers into some of West Africa’s most remote regions to carry the Good News to the unreached.
